ACCELERATED READER
Each student is required to read 4 Accelerated Reader books each term on his/her reading level and pass a quiz with a 70% or higher. Student reading levels will be determined from data collected from a Reading Inventory. Reading levels will be explained to each student. We require 4 books, rather than a certain number of points, to prepare students for the middle school expectation. Students are expected to read 2 books by midterm. This will be a grade on the midterm report. Students are only given access to tests during school hours. They are able to test during their library resource, before and after school, during tiered instruction, and during classroom computer times.
