BOOK LOGS
Every student is required to keep a reading log that shows evidence of reading 100 minutes each week. Students are responsible for keeping track of their minutes. Book logs are due every Monday and are not accepted without a parent signature.
ACCELERATED READER
Each student is required to read 4 Accelerated Reader books each term on his/her reading level and pass a quiz with a 70% or higher. Student reading levels will be determined from data collected from STAR 360 Reading. Reading levels will be explained to each student by his/her reading teacher. We require 4 books, rather than a certain number of points, to prepare students for the middle school expectation. Students are only given access to tests during school hours. They are able to test during their library resource, before and after school, during RAMS period, and during classroom computer times.
